Photocatalytic Degradation of Methyl Tert-Butyl Ether (MTBE) from Aqueous Solution: A Review
Nowadays, underground water is the main source of drinking water that contamination to organic pollutants such as MTBE is an important issue. One of the suitable methods for these types of pollutants is the advanced oxidation methods. Advanced oxidation processes (AOPs) are involved in the production of highly reactive hydroxyl radicals that oxidize organic matter such as MTBE and even le...
متن کاملStability assessment of ketoconazole in aqueous formulations.
Ketoconazole is an imidazole antifungal agent. It has a wide antifungal spectrum and possesses some antibacterial activity. In inappropriate formulations, especially in aqueous media, ketoconazole molecules may be unsteady. The stability of ketoconazole in aqueous media was assessed as a function of pH, antioxidant and ketoconazole concentrations. It was found that ketoconazole was least stable...
متن کاملAn efficient method for the preparation of symmetrical disulfides using 1-butyl- 3-methylimidazolium hydroxide in aqueous medium
In this study, a one-pot and efficient method is reported for the synthesis of symmetrical disulfides from alkyl halides in the present of sulfur and 1-butyl-3-methylimidazolium hydroxide as a basic reagent and phase transfer catalyst. The reaction proceeded very fast and afforded the desired products in moderate to excellent isolated yields.
متن کاملUnusual fluorescein prototropism within aqueous acidic 1-butyl-3-methylimidazolium tetrafluoroborate solution.
Fluorescence emission of the cationic form of fluorescein is observed from dilute aqueous acidic solutions in the presence of ionic liquid 1-butyl-3-methylimidazolium tetrafluoroborate which is otherwise observed only from aqueous solutions of very high acidity.
متن کاملNMR study for self-aggregation of 1-butyl-3-methylimidazolium bromide in aqueous solution.
Self-aggregation of 1-butyl-3-methylimidazolium bromide ([bmim]Br) in D(2)O has been investigated using NMR spectroscopy. The (1)H spin-lattice relaxation times (T(1)) of the [bmim](+) increased with the decrease of concentration in the range of 0.1-3.0 mol dm(-3) as expected, however, in contrast, the (1)H-T(1) decreased below 0.1 mol dm(-3). The estimated (13)C-activation energies indicated t...
